Climate change and flooding

Climate change is long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. This has happened naturally since the beginning of time.

Through the burning of fossil fuels and industrial farming, human activity is causing the climate to change in an unnatural manner.

This climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme flooding events in the UK and Europe.
